University of Miami Business School Draws International Attention, By Dr. Shahram Shirkhani

More than 500 students joined the University of Miami School of Business in 2012, including 475 undergraduates and 80 graduate students representing 18 countries. Students were welcomed with lectures from some of the school’s outstanding alumni, including Patrick Dwyer, the Managing Director of Investments for Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group.

Located in a global center for international business and commerce, the University of Miami’s business school is known for its diverse faculty and student body. Moreover, it offers everything from undergraduate business degrees to joint MD/MBA and JD/MBA programs, and America Economia magazine recently ranks its executive education program for Latin America as second in the U.S.

Students at the University of Miami can study abroad or focus on international business through the school’s Center for International Business Education and Research, and the Center for Health Sector Management and Policy provides research and consulting to businesses and policy makers.

About Dr. Shahram Shirkhani: Dr. Shirkhani majored in Business Administration and Economics at the University of Miami, where he maintained membership in an economics honor society and from which he received his Bachelor of Business Administration.
